Nikki is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor with a Master’s Degree in Clinical Psychology, Child and Adolescent Specialization from the Chicago School of Professional Psychology. She has a great deal of experience working with children, adolescents, and adults with a number of presenting issues.
Before and during graduate school, Nikki worked in a residential facility for adolescents involved with DCFS. During her internship, she was able to hone her skills within the specialization of Play Therapy, providing early intervention treatment for young children and working with these families in an at risk community.
Nikki finds great joy in developing a positive relationship with her clients. For Nikki, the most important aspect of her work is giving people the space to be open and vulnerable without feeling the judgment that can be so pervasive in our lives. In life, Nikki loves to laugh and spread laughter to others, finding humor and levity in difficult times.
Tony is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor with a Master’s Degree in Clinical Psychology: Counseling Focus from Roosevelt University. He has ample experience working with adults and older adults, addressing a wide range of issues.
While Tony enjoys working with anyone looking to find happiness in their life, he specializes in anger management and trauma utilizing techniques such as Dialectical Behavior Therapy and Prolonged Exposure therapy. Tony’s internship focused on providing therapeutic services for adults with moderate to severe mental illness in an individual and group setting. Tony was able to further develop his clinical skills and branch out to working with the court system for mandated anger management therapy as well as individuals seeking to decrease aggressive behavior. Tony also has experience working with the elderly population, treating nursing facility residents with dementia and helping their families cope with progressing dementia and grief.
Tony takes great pride in his work and finds joy in helping people find happiness in their life. While he takes his work and his clients very seriously, Tony’s therapeutic style and personality lend to finding laughter in difficult moments. Exuding a calming presence during crisis situations allows Tony to dig deep with his clients to find productive solutions to difficult problems. In Tony’s personal life, he enjoys staying active and finding fun activities to do with friends and family.
